Plans, develops, and implements technical product or system training programs for customers, and/or employees, and field support personnel. Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized and new product modules. Obtains information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software, and product requirements to prepare training programs; prepares lesson plans and training materials; designs product demonstrations; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions, demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Requires prior technical subject matter knowledge and experience. May administer tests. May include military trainers.
1. Confers with management, employees and clients to gain knowledge of work situations requiring technical training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.
2. Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
3. Trainers are expected to have technical expertise.
4. Continuously revises lesson plans to ensure course material reflect product features, meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
5. Facilitates the execution of all training programs.
6. Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Job Summary
Obtain and maintain instructor qualifications IAW 39 lOS SOPs that pertain to Instructor Responsibilities, Instructor Development Program, course curriculum and Course Administration.
Develop and modify instructional materials (plans of instruction, lesson plans, student, and instructor handbook/instructions, test questions, and visual aids) for both in-residence courseware and/or non-resident on-line ADL courseware.
Augment and support the Government with the development and maintenance of the Expeditionary Communications curriculum.
Augment and support other instructors with Expeditionary Communications course execution and/or during course exercises.
Serve as exercise controller during Expeditionary Communications course exercises (if required).
Qualifications
Associate degree with 5 - 8 years TDC or equivalent experience.

Significant experience in software and hardware related communications to include servers, firewalls, proxy servers, network area storage devices, switches, and intrusion detection devices, preferably a mix of operational experience and developing course materials. 7+ years preferred.
Experience with U.S. laws, DoD policies, Air Force and ANG regulations, and NGB and state policies applicable to the processes outlined above, as well as with applicable automated systems, is highly desired.
Strong organizational skills and a confident, detail-oriented, customer-oriented, positive mindset will be a great asset to this position.
