Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our team. As a Legal Secretary, you will provide administrative support to our legal team and assist in the smooth operation of our law office. Your role will involve managing legal documents, e-filing with the court and assisting with various administrative tasks. Great working environment this is an in person job not remote.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as briefs, and pleadings
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Conduct and gather relevant information for cases
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court appearances for attorneys
- Transcribe dictations and prepare correspondence
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and emails
- Maintain confidentiality of client information
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary and or similar role or paralegal.
- Knowledge of legal administrative procedures and practices
- Proficiency in using document management systems
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to transcribe legal documents accurately
- Knowledge of litigation processes is a plus
