What We’re Looking For

FGL is searching for a Legal Operations Manager to act as a linchpin in our innovative and creative legal firm. This role is ideally suited for an individual with the Working Genius of Discernment and Tenacity, capable of navigating and enhancing the firm’s day-to-day operations. Your critical thinking and persistence will ensure our operational activities align with the firm's innovative spirit and dedication to serving the entrepreneurial community.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and continuously refine operational processes to bolster efficiency and adaptability, true to our innovative ethos.
  • Coordinate daily operational tasks, ensuring they are in sync with strategic goals while preserving our boutique service quality.
  • Assist the Partners in developing and executing growth strategies and hiring initiatives to support the firm's dynamic expansion.
  • Utilize a discerning eye to evaluate operational effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Foster an environment where partners can dedicate themselves to strategic thinking and legal excellence by managing the operational intricacies that facilitate their focus.
  • Managing AP/AR employees, overseeing Marketing, PR and other vendors.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Law, or a related field, with a preference for candidates who have further education or certifications in operations management.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a Legal Operations or similar role within a progressive legal or professional services environment.
  • Experience in Legal Operations with a demonstrated ability to apply discernment to streamline processes and resolve complex operational issues.
  • Tenacity in managing projects from conception through to successful implementation.
  • Comfort with leveraging technology to manage a distributed team across various jurisdictions.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset that thrives in a virtual, innovative work setting.
  • Experiencing in managing the AP/AR team, overseeing Marketing, Public Relations and various other vendors.
  • Experience coordinating and teaming with the Director of Operations HR in a law firm or professional service firm.
