- Support budget planning and analysis; building financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance for the Global Legal organization.
- Drive variance analysis against budgets to identify risks and opportunities.
- Manage the Onit matter management and E-billing system and processes.
- Manage administrative aspects of outside counsel and vendor relationships by providing ongoing support to the attorneys including facilitating engagement agreements, preparing budgets, performance measurement and reporting and compliance with billing guidelines.
- Participate in the development of strategic initiatives to optimize and report on legal spend, develop budgets and outside counsel performance metrics.
- Assist in the strategic development and innovation of Legal Finance processes and projects within Viatris, including the roll out of system and process solutions globally.
- Create benchmarking and track industry standards to ensure compliance to new trends, spend management and system capabilities.
- Partner across other finance teams to drive continuous improvement in financial and operational performance.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 5 years’ experience in Finance required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
- 5 years’ experience in working in a Law Firm or In-House Legal Department preferred.
- An ideal candidate must be qualified and capable of handling both internal financial reporting of large and complex budgets for Global Legal as well as managing important client relationships. A background in Legal Operations or Finance is highly preferred.
- Exceptional written, oral and interpersonal communication skills that are clear, concise and direct, with a keen attention to detail.
- This role has remote flexibility, with preference to be based from an East Coast location in the United States.
- Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English is required.
