Job Description
Marcum Search is working with a Law firm in downtown NYC to find an Applications and Training Manager to be responsible for the management and support of Microsoft and Legal applications used firmwide, as well as manage the firm’s training program.
This position is hybrid, with Monday and Friday remote, and Tuesday-Thursday onsite.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following:
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, and intermediate-to-expert knowledge of most legal applications such as: iManage WorkSite, Litera ChangePro, DocXTools, Templates and Numbering Suite, Adobe Acrobat (pdf tools), Aderant, etc.
- Prior Supervisory or Team Management experience
- Experience building comprehensive training and education programs, as well as delivering and measuring effectiveness.
- Architecture/design and deployment of applications
- POC and product road mapping
- Managing application vendor relationships
- BA/BS degree preferred, and 7+ years of relevant work experience.
- The main responsibilities of the Manager of the Applications and Training include:
- Providing leadership and managing the work activities of direct reports in all COTS and SAAS application management, including enhancements, upgrades, and innovative solutions.
- Collaborating with firm to prioritize, and schedule application deployment and enhancement requests, while providing direction and guidance to the applications staff and to ensuring proposed solutions align with information, technology, infrastructure, business, and security architectures.
- Maintaining knowledge of applications available in the legal space and challenging the applications in use, ensuring the Firm is keeping pace with technology.
- Continuously developing and maintain the application upgrade roadmap for the Firm. And work with NetOps and Desktop Engineering to keep applications patched and operating on current versions.
- Ownership of incidents and release management and being Accountable for availability and performance of the applications portfolio
- Own project roadmap and communicate project status to CIO and peers
- Partnering with peers
- Leading/managing application support and training staff
- Identify the training needs for legal and non-legal teams and aid in the curriculum design
- Manage any third-party vendor relationships and systems

The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $125,000 and a maximum of $175,000 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
