System Admin Jr. (Application Tester Jr.)

Overview
The tester will be responsible for completion of Test Plans, creation of test cases and execution of test cases for enterprise application deployment efforts. This would include testing of all new functionality and enhancements for various applications which may include but is not limited to COTS/GOTS medical software, Operating Systems, Microsoft application suites, COTS vendor provided applications, and a wealth of end-user and medical device drivers. Reviews and understands business requirements/use cases and functional details. Conducts end-to-end functional and regression testing and validations, coordinating with the applicable standards and baselines. Identifies, logs and tracks defects found during test execution within a shared tracking portal. Identifies issues that are required to be resolved during testing and before production use. Suggests improvements to the service and or overall testing process. POSITION IN ON SITE in Albany NY.
Responsibilities

• Must have an exhaustive working knowledge of and experience with Operating System Imaging, scheduled task sequencing, and creation of both physical and virtual Windows 10 desktop and laptop machines within a designated test lab environment.
• Strong knowledge building Windows based machines to include Dell, Hewlett Packard (HP) and other COTS end-user devices.
• Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software technical issues.

Required Experience/Qualifications

• 2 years experience required.
• Four (4) year college degree or equivalent experience
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+
• Analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to understand and solve complex problems.
• Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills relative to testing and technical issues.
• Team player and the capacity to work with multiple project members.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills and the ability to relay and share information and clarify instructions for test cases to production support personnel.

Create test artifacts to include within Test Plans

• Responsible for daily status reporting at project level
• Trace test cases and results back to specific user stories/requirements/quality risks
• Provide accurate and precise estimates for assigned task duration and work effort, along with confidence
• Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
• Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
