SalaryTop Las Vegas bankruptcy law firm seeks a part-time (up to full-time) Legal Assistant / Receptionist to assist with its caseload.
Bankruptcy is a fast-paced and exciting type of law! Unlike many other areas of law, bankruptcy helps people out, with no fighting or drama.
The law firm is Atkinson Law Associates Ltd. Our firm is the only Las Vegas bankruptcy law firm with its own app, called DebtBlasters™. The firm is highly automated, so there’s very little printed paperwork involved in case management.
This is an office position, not a remote or work-from-home position. The position we are seeking to fill is part time, 3-5 hours per day. We are flexible as to which specific hours best meet your needs (i.e., morning shift, afternoon shift, etc.).
Depending on your needs and interest, you can opt for a longer shift, including having this be a full-time position (9 to 5).
Job description:
- Handle client communications (calls and emails)
- Organize client documents
- Prepare bankruptcy forms
- File documents with the court, using its online filing system
- Schedule hearings and maintain calendars
- Front desk duties (phone and visitors)
- General office duties
We have a great, fun workplace and we're looking for an enthusiastic, good-natured person to join our team. Applicants must be honest, responsible, punctual, presentable, and be good at organizing documents.
No law or bankruptcy experience is needed or required. You will get significant on-the-job training. Ideally, you will show the aptitude to become a paralegal.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
