Erickson Immigration Group (EIG), is a full-service, premium business immigration law firm located in Arlington, VA. We currently have a career opportunity for a business immigration Legal Assistant to join our team in our headquarters office located in Arlington, VA. The position is full-time, on-site, and requires occasional flexibility to work until 6pm.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Drafting, preparing, and collating immigration documents for U.S. visas
- Utilizing web-based immigration case management system and database continuously and accurately
- Handling of sensitive personal and financial documents with extreme attention to detail and the utmost care
- Preparing documents for scanning and mailing
- Working closely with fellow Legal Assistants as well as paralegals and attorneys across multiple departments within the firm and your own team
- Monitoring internal systems to ensure immediate processing and keeping high-level customer service standards
- Communicating timely with legal professionals about the status of physical documents
- Contributing to the development of firm processes to simplify work, standardize procedures and help the team operate more efficiently and effectively
Qualification Requirements:
- Exceptionally detail-oriented, organized, and energetic attitude
- Experience with document scanning and data entry
- Experience with a case management system (such as INSZoom, Tracker, or LawLogix)
- Experience with Adobe, Microsoft Office, and Google Docs
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in a fast-paced customer facing role desired
