Legal Assistant- Affirmative

Murray Osorio, PLL is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to join our fast-growing firm. We are a busy full-service immigration firm focused on providing clients with the best service as they navigate through their immigration process. The candidate will primarily be working under our affirmative team. As an affirmative Legal Assistant, you would play an essential role in ensuring that cases are timely filed with the proper entity, clients are notified of their upcoming interviews, assist with basic inquiries, etc. You will be working closely with attorneys and paralegals in gathering client documentation and taking fingerprints. You will also be working with different immigration entities to seek case updates.

The candidate would be required to work from our VA office located in Fairfax, VA.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in a second language highly desirable

- Ability to multitask

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse team

- Prioritize assignments and prepare detailed correspondence

- Manage case files, ensuring accuracy, and completeness of documentation.

- Engage with clients ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity to cultural differences.

- Assist in the preparation of immigration forms and supporting documentation for family-based, employment-based, and humanitarian immigration cases.

- Previous Experience working as a Legal Assistant is preferred

Required Qualifications:

- Valid Driver’s License and a reliable means of transportation

- Fluent in English and Spanish

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe Pro

- High school/GED/
