Job Description
Probate firm is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant - Bookkeeper who can support our attorneys and paralegals. Duties include performing accounts receivable, accounts payable, deposits, and bill pay for the firm’s cases in QuickBooks. The position will record, maintain, organize, and prepare financial data. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and keep all financial data organized and current. Candidate needs to be level-headed, detail-oriented, able to follow instructions, ask appropriate questions, use common sense, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be team-player oriented. Compensation:$40,000+
Responsibilities:- Process, record and maintain financial data
- Manage A/R, AP, deposit and pay bills on behalf of the firm's clients
- Organize, scan and file documents
- Prepare mailings and postage
- Manage office correspondences and respond to emails
- Miscellaneous administrative tasks
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- QuickBooks experiences preferred
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Candidate needs to be level-headed, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions
- Ask appropriate questions and use common sense
