Family Law Paralegal/Legal Assistant
Robert Half has partnered with a family law solo practitioner on the search for a 1+ years’ Family Law Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join the law firm practice downtown Denver. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in family law and be proficient in legal research, drafting, and document preparation. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as they will be responsible for interacting with clients, attorneys, and opposing counsel.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and court orders
- Review and edit legal documents for accuracy and clarity
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records
- Communicate with clients, attorney, and opposing counsel
- Attend court hearings and depositions as needed
- Provide general administrative support to the family law team
- Answering firm phone and assisting with client intake
- Administrative duties
- Other responsibilities as assigned

- Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. Paralegal Certificate a plus- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- Comprehensive knowledge of family law
- Document production experience
- Foundational knowledge in Civil Procedure
- Adeptness in legal research
- Knowledge of Client Intake
- Practical knowledge of Litigation ParaLegal
- Demonstrated knowledge of Receptionist Duties
- General familiarity with Litigation ParaLegal
- Court Filings experience
- Knowledgeable computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
- Candidates who have experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal or legal support strongly preferred
- Desire to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling client matters, and adhering to strict deadlines
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
- Proven ability to use the internet for research
