Legal Assistant

```Job Summary:```
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. The Legal Assistant will provide support to our legal team by performing various administrative tasks and assisting with legal case management. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

```Responsibilities:```
- Assist attorneys with legal research, drafting, and editing legal documents
- Transcribe dictations and prepare correspondence
- Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings for attorneys
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate person
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and government agencies
- Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and filing

```Qualifications:```
-Would love to hire a law student looking for flexible hours and some experience. This is a great learning opportunity and I am awesome.
- Previous experience working as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures helpful
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills -
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Detail-oriented with strong proofreading skills

-PC skills an absolute MUST

I am in West Los Angeles and work from a home office most times, but our main location is in Castle Rock, CO. I need someone to dedicate some time to assist me with proofing legal documents, prepping documents, and other "not very sexy" administrative tasks.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $22.00 - $26.95 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• After school
• Choose your own hours
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekends as needed

• Do you have any issues working part of the time in Pacific Palisades and part at home? It will mostly be training in Pacific Palisades then we can connect via Zoom. I may need you to come in once a week. We will see how it goes.
