Dinsmore is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant who will support multiple attorneys/paralegals primarily in connection with patent and trademark protection and portfolio management. We seek candidates that are focus on attention to detail, are self-directed, highly motivated, and have advanced computer skills.
Responsibilities
Assist with IP portfolio management and related communications; electronic filings; client communication; billing; formatting, proofreading, and editing of contracts, spreadsheets, and other reports and transaction-related documents; docket management; travel arrangements; and other legal support functions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of legal assistant experience
- Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading skills, and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent word processing skills and intermediate-level use of Microsoft Office Suite, .pdf editing software, and related legal software, including attorney timekeeping software and electronic document management systems
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be a positive team player, as well as an independent worker
- Ability to excel in a fast paced environment
- Solid work history including 3-5 years supporting multiple attorneys/paralegals
- Experience in patent, trademark and copyright clearance, prosecution and transactional work a plus
- Ability to review and communicate docket to attorneys/paralegals, and effectively report to several professionals
