Description
GLP Attorneys, P.S., Inc., an established and respected plaintiff's personal injury law firm, seeks a Legal Administrative Assistant to provide support to our Eastern Washington team. Upon successful completion of onboarding and training, this position may be considered for a hybrid schedule. The physical office is located in Spokane.

Requirements
In this position, you will:

  • Offer comprehensive administrative and operational support to Eastern Washington legal team(s), including tasks such as setting up new client files, communicating with clients and colleagues, handling client correspondence, managing client account balances, and performing administrative functions like copying, scanning, and faxing various communications.
  • Handle miscellaneous tasks and projects as needed.
  • Interact with clients and colleagues, providing assistance and information as required.
  • Provide general administrative support to attorney(s) and colleagues, assisting with various tasks to help support the smooth operation of the office.
  • Manage teams incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and faxes. Draft and edit documents, letters, and reports.
  • Assist in managing attorney(s) calendars and handling phone calls and emails.

Qualified candidates should have experience including:
  • Required- Minimum of 2 years of Administrative Assistant experience in either a legal, accounting, financial, or insurance field.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, demonstrating effective communication with clients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies, coupled with a positive "can-do" attitude.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, reflecting a strong collaborative work ethic.
  • Understanding of the confidential nature of the work, with the ability to maintain professionalism consistently.
  • Proficiency in proofreading legal documents.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Basic knowledge of office equipment.
  • Familiarity with clerical procedures and systems, including recordkeeping and filing.
  • Ability to work independently, identify and resolve problems, and showcase strong organizational skills, including prioritizing tasks amid competing responsibilities.
  • Competence in setting priorities and exercising independent judgment.

GLP Attorneys determines the compensation for positions using local, national, and industry-specific data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wages in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our firm. For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Compensation will be based on the applicant's location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
The base pay range for a non-exempt Administrative Assistant in Eastern Washington is $21.00 - $24.00/hour.
GLP Attorneys proudly offers a competitive total rewards package. In addition to the base rate and bonuses, the firm provides employees with vision, dental, medical/rx insurance (with the option to open a health savings account), life insurance, a firm-sponsored employee assistance program, and a 401(k)-retirement plan with a discretionary safe harbor and profit-sharing feature. GLP Attorneys sponsors 90% of the employee premium for those enrolled on the HSA medical plan ($3k deductible), 75% for the base plan ($1k deductible), and 75% for the buy-up plan ($750 deductible). The firm sponsors 25% of all medical dependent coverage. GLP Attorneys sponsors 75% of the employee premium for those enrolled on the vision plan and 25% for those enrolled on a dental plan. Employees are responsible for the premiums for dependent coverage on the vision and dental plans.
