About the Opportunity:
This is an opportunity for an outstanding Leasing Agent to join our winning team at our campus of luxury high rise residential buildings located in the vibrant downtown Jersey City. The ideal candidate is a true “people person” with passion for real estate and sales. This position will display sales expertise in apartment showings to effectively rent available homes within their designated territory. Agents should be knowledgeable about the NJ real estate market to help educate and guide clients through the application and approval process. Agents must be professional in all aspects of the role and demonstrate strong communication skills with both clients and colleagues.
Role & Responsibilities:
Sales:
- Handle inquiries, schedule, show & rent apartments (both in person and virtually)
- Handle Parking agreements, inquiries and problem resolution
- Involvement in renewal process
- Walk all vacant apartments, leasing office and accessible amenity and public areas daily and work with management on cleanliness of all
- Manage all deals from opening to closing
Marketing & Lifestyle:
- Work with marketing team on listing syndication, apartment photography
- Know competitive building set and track area pricing and incentives
Client Focused:
- Meet with prospective renters and take them on tours of the units that fit their criteria
- Gather required paperwork that clients will need to qualify for the apartment
- Assist team managers in providing comparables for neighborhood properties
- Establish rapport with building tenants and staff to allow for a sense of community
- Answer leads and book appointments with prospective clients
- Attendance at lifestyle events
Qualifications:
- BS degree in real estate or similar
- Leasing experience preferred, brokerage or on-site
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be very organized and detailed oriented
- Must be a strong team player
- Must be proficient in Google Drive, utilizing shared folders, spreadsheets, etc.
- Yardi/Rent Cafe experience a plus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends. Some overtime may be required
- Weekend work is required. Incumbents must be able to work at least 1 day each weekend and as business needs necessitate, may be required to work both Saturdays and Sundays during peak seasons
Salary, Benefits, Schedule:
$50,000.00 per year + commission (target total compensation: $65,000 - $85,000)

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Jersey City, NJ 07302: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
- Real Estate Sales: 5 years (Preferred)
