Position Summary:
The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for creating, editing, and organizing training content for diverse formats, including e-learning modules and workshops. They assess training needs, design and implement programs, and utilize various multimedia platforms for effective presentations. Strong communication skills, proficiency in multimedia training tools, and the ability to evaluate and implement training options are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Creates, writes, and edits training content for e-learning modules, workshops, training manuals, job aids, guides, and other course materials, partnering with Instructional Designers.
- Assesses training and Development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication
- Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees and customers
- Develops unique training programs to fulfill employee-specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
- Presents training and Development programs using various forms and formats, including group discussions, lectures, simulations, and videos (in partnership with Instructional Designers).
- Maintains records of training and Development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
- Assesses training materials prepared by instructors by creating, editing, revising, and using skills and training assessments.
- Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
- Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and Development.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Ability to evaluate, research and implement training options and alternatives.
- Ability to design and implement effective training and Development assessments.
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Articulate 360, and related program software.
