About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.
Position Purpose: The Learning and Development Specialist will support successful administration, coordination and delivery of Learning and Development projects/initiatives. These projects/initiatives develop and strengthen staff skills, fostering an engaging and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
Branch Reporting:
Delivers accurate and frequent reporting for Branches and leadership teams (new hire and existing staff compliance; training evaluations; new hire and onboarding reports; mentoring reports and feedback; engagement reports/surveys support; ad hoc Learning and culture reporting for all related projects),
LMS Administrator:
- Assists in validating, tracking and capturing employee data in various LMS platforms, as well as ad hoc reporting. Conducts audits by cross-referencing active staff report list.
- Schedules and updates learning activities/events, track enrollments and generates roster reports.
Administrative and logistics support:
- Manages learning spaces/events (in-person & online).
- Creates invites, flyers to promote/share with staff, sing-in sheets and admin/learning guides and resources.
- Delivers excellent customer service for staff accessing various learning platforms (LMS).
- Manages the administrative aspects of the new hire onboarding process including emails, orientation, tracking, accessibility, and the holistic onboarding journey.
- Supports the administrative/logistical processes involved in engagement programs such as a mentoring program.
Training:
- Presents training sessions for branch, YGBW Association and YUSA regional training events.
- Performs training sessions in-person, virtual and recorded.
- Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED and a minimum of 2 years office experience required, prior human resource experience preferred
- Previous experience in Education or relevant experience in Human Resources Administration, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or Organizational Development preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams), Zoom and HRIS administration.
- Experience using online tracking and e-learning tools for project management and delivery of professional development.
- Experience with training adult learners and/or willingness to learn.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balance multiple tight deadlines and priorities, and be adaptive to change.
- Demonstrated experience in fostering diversity and inclusion within the workplace, with a track record of supporting inclusive HR/Development practices.
