We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with expertise in API cycle management and a strong background in Microsoft technologies, particularly Power BI and Power Platform. As a Technical Lead, the incumbent will be responsible for leading and managing the technical aspects of APIs catering to Dealers and customers, ensuring seamless integration with Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of API lifecycle management, API design principles, and hands-on experience with Power BI and Power Platform.
Job Duties:
- Lead and manage the technical aspects of API modernization-related projects.
- Design and implement efficient API solutions, ensuring scalability and robustness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in API management, and Microsoft technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to API integrations and Power BI Reports.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Design and Develop ETL jobs and Snaplogic pipelines to manage Digital data/Project requirements.
- Provide insights to consultants for continuous improvement and participate in projects as needed.
- Review and approve technical decisions from development teams.
- Assessments of As-Is and To-Be states, create transformation plans with benchmarks of future states.
- Evaluate and/or develop Innovative ideas and solutions for the technology stack.
- Participate in technical design specification activities as needed.
- Define and provide training to consultant trainers on Caterpillar-specific tools and processes.
- Work with Technical Leads and business partners to understand and execute availability and Performance in environments (Test, QA, Pre-Prod, Prod).
- Performing implementation and integration tasks for complex developed systems and software solutions.
- Translating business and functional requirements to technical requirements and specifications.
- Communicate and promote the adoption of practices and standards within development teams.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of software, servers, storage, network (load balancers and firewalls), and overall Caterpillar risk domains and cloud domains. Accountable for product Licenses.
- Understanding of systems architecture, and security for external and internal communication.
- Participate in the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers and requirements that drive the future state architecture.
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead with a focus on API cycle management.
- Expertise in Microsoft technologies, especially Power BI and Power Platform.
- Strong understanding of API design principles, RESTful APIs, and API lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with API development tools and frameworks.
- Strong proficiency with SQL
- Should have development and administrator experience in ETL technologies such as DataStage and SnapLogic.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Lead your product developers in the resolution of difficult product design and development issues.
Top Candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in technical leadership and API management.
- Should have a good knowledge of Caterpillar policies and procedures, and a general understanding of Caterpillar’s organization.
- Ability to network with peers and achieve results through others.
- Keep up with Industry changes/standards. Be Proactive about the changes and influencing roadmaps.
Summary Pay Range:
$123,480.00 - $200,640.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
