As a successful candidate, you will:
- Lead, Research Informatics Data Development (City of Hope National Medical Center; Duarte, CA):
- Manage Research Informatics Data Development and Research Informatics Systems, including Los Angeles Data Resource (LADR), REDCap, disease registries, and Honest Broker tools.
- Manage the processing of Honest Broker tickets, including data management, database design, data standards (Fast Health Interoperability Resources (FHIR) and Health Level 7 (HL7)), and implementation as needed for the applications.
- Develop new or existing informatics data solutions in multiple reporting languages using Transact Structured Query Language (T-SQL), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Tableau. Support data transformations using Atmolytics.
- Evaluate and prototype new research informatics data technologies and new methodologies. Provide recommendations on innovative options and best practices.
- Help plan interconnected healthcare data development projects, prioritize tasks, streamline workflow, bridge communication gaps and barriers, review code, and enforce best practices.
- Lead research informatics data project development and provide project consultation. Provide input for the best methods to carry out medical and biomedical solutions.
- Train and provide staff development in Research Informatics data, methodologies, systems, and division strategies. Train Data Developers.
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus five (5) years of experience as a Research Software Developer, Developer/Data Analyst, or related occupation.
data development in research informatics systems: LADR, REDCap, disease registries, and Honest Broker tools; data standards: FHIR and HL7; SQL Server, MySQL, Tableau, SSRS, and Cohort Selection; software development life cycle; using SAS, R, and MS SQL query languages against SQL Server and RedCAP databases; Atmolytics environment and data structures; analyzing healthcare research data requirements and developing data solutions and projects; research informatics data project needs; building disease registry databases, and performing migrations from enterprise systems; requirement gathering goal setting for medical and biomedical project solutions; providing training in research informatics methods and practices; and evaluating new technologies and methodologies in research informatics, and recommending options based on best practices.
