Job Title:Lead Mental Health Specialist
Division/Program: In Home Outreach Team - Alameda
Starting Rate: $66433.81 - $83042.26 per year + $1000 Hiring Bonus
Working Location: San Leandro, CA (In-person position)
Working Hours/Shift: AM shift- flexible hours

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a social science required
- Two (2) years of experience working in a behavioral health field. Experience with transition age youth and with individuals experiencing severe mental illness, homelessness and who may be involved with substance abuse preferred.
- Registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as AMFT, ASW or APCC with 2500 hours earned (Licensed preferred)
- LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW license in California
- Valid California Driver's License
Job Overview:
This position has primary responsibility for providing clinical guidance to the IHOT team and providing case management and discharge support to TAY referred through the program. The IHOT team is a unique team that provides outreach and engagement to disengaged TAY (transitional age youth), between 18 and 25 years of age, who may be reluctant to access Mental Health care for a variety of reasons.
Division/Program Overview:
- IHOT team provides outreach and engagement services to disengaged TAY (transitional ages youth)
- Serves Transitional Age Youth (TAY) from Ages 18-25 years.
- The IHOT team is comprised of a staff of peer advocates who use their lived experience to help them connect disengaged youth.
- The team lead provides clinical oversight to this dedicated staff.
- Provided community-based services throughout Alameda County
We serve more than 30,000 children, youth and families annually throughout the state.
Our experienced staff of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Specialists, Parent Partners and other therapists/counselors provide case management, Mental Health care and a range of support services in schools, homes or other community settings.
Our dedicated teams work collaboratively and in partnership with family members, school administrators and faculty, county social workers, case managers, probation officers and other agencies.
