Position Summary
Bridgestone HR Business Partners specialize in providing strategic HR consulting services to the business. This role involves collaborating with business leaders to address significant people and cultural challenges, offering expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of employment such as hiring, termination, performance management, and rewards. HR Business Partners play a crucial role in facilitating business change, supporting talent-related aspects of organizational structure changes, and managing talent integration during mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, they advocate for HR programs by communicating their business value, overseeing program rollouts to minimize disruptions, and collaborating with colleagues on key talent initiatives like workforce planning, hi-potential employee development, and succession planning.
This role is a work from home role based out of Chicago, IL area due to the region locations. There will be up to 50% travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Takes the lead on large projects or processes with complex scope, demonstrating autonomy and minimal oversight from the manager.
- Provides coaching, reviews, and delegates tasks to lower-level professionals within the team.
- Contributes to the development of operational plans and oversees implementation for assigned responsibilities.
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and automation, making frequent recommendations based on detailed analyses to drive positive changes.
- Adapts precedents and may revamp standard operating procedures to develop innovative solutions.
- Cultivates strong relationships through effective communication and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6-8 years of experience with a bachelors degree
- Multi-location Retail experience
- Strategic HR experience
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
