Laboratory Billing & Customer Service Specialist

Monday-Friday, 9-5 pm

Core Responsibilities:

• Conducts all patient pre-authorization, registration, and documentation filing required for claims reimbursement.
• Conducts quality assurance on all claims to maintain a 95% first-time reimbursement standard.
• Engages patients regularly for insurance and billing information, and answers customer-service calls to address patient/client questions and concerns.
• Monitors clients’ compliance, collects any missing information in a timely manner, and distributes new information to all departments involved.
• Assists outside Billing company and consultants to maintain insurance contracts and state credentials.
• Reports problem holds and provides resolution to leadership in a timely manner.
• Timely and accurately enters data into our LIMS, label samples, and forwards respective sample to personnel/departments.
• Assembles case paperwork and files, including pre-analytic documentation and labels.
• Performs entry of add-on testing and recollected specimens
• All other duties and tasks assigned by company leadership.

Basic Required Qualifications:

· High School Diploma, AS or BS preferred

· 5+ years of experience with billing laboratory and/or medical claims; experience processing pharmacogenomic claims a plus

· Ability to communicate professionally and effectively

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to work independently

· Able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, maintaining quality standards

· Proficient with MS Office programs

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
