SalaryUnder general supervision, performs routine analyses and quality control and records results. Maintains laboratory glassware in clean and useable condition. This position is out in the field assisting technicians.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs routine analyses and quality control as required.
2. Maintains detailed records of work performed and results obtained.
3. Cleans and stores laboratory glassware.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
4. May accompany laboratory technician during sampling.
5. Performs additional duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of basic chemical and/or biological concepts.
- Knowledge of computer basics.
- Knowledge of math, including decimals and use of equations.
- Ability to maintain detailed records.
- Ability to work independently in the absence of specific instructions.
Qualifying Education and Experience:
High school diploma plus six hours of college level Chemistry and/or Geology and three hours of computer basics or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Pre-employment screening includes criminal background check.
