Lab Technician - Biotechnology

Job Title: Lab Technician - Biotechnology
Location: Millsboro, DE
Duration: 6 months

Qualifications:

High School diploma/GED required. BS/BA degree in chemistry, biology, or related field preferred.

Able to work independently and follow standard procedures

Proficient in computer skills and standard laboratory techniques

Previous laboratory experience or biology/chemistry education background preferred

Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and conversions

Ability to work flexible work schedule, including overtime, holidays and weekends

Aseptic clean room behaviors experience preferred

Ability to work standing for long periods of time

Responsibilities:

Perform laboratory tasks such as cleaning work area, preparing and sterilizing glassware and equipment, and assisting with equipment setup and operation

Collect and analyze samples or substances using sensitive equipment and report findings to laboratory manager

Perform aseptic procedures such as product formulation, fill equipment setup and operation, and environmental monitoring

Maintain accurate and timely records of laboratory processes and data

Report any unusual or non-routine occurrences when performing tasks

Comply with all safety and company policies and procedures

Assist with training new team members

Review and update standard operating procedures as needed
