Job Description:

· Participate in strategic planning for the start-up of Oregon laboratory

· Build, optimize and supervise the laboratory systems

· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards.

· Supervise and ensure the production cycles of NGS projects

· Supervise ad lead a team of laboratory technicians and assistants.

· Provide training, mentorship, and support to lab staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performaning work environment.

· Organize public activities of the laboratory

· Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.

· Liaises with other lab departments to investigate and resolve production problems, as well as internal and external clients

· Develops optimization process, implements and reports upon investigations undertaken

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of laboratory activities, including protocols, results, and inventories.

· Make annual plans and prepare regular reports on lab performance.

Job Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology or a related scientific field

· At least 1 year of experience in NGS in a laboratory environment.

· Bilingual in English and Mandarin is required due to frequent communications with Headquarter in China.

· Proven experience in a laboratory management role is preferred.

· Experience with Illumina platform is preferred.

· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

· In-depth knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures.

· Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

· Proficiency in MS Office software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $96,000.00 per year
