Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting scientific research and data collection in various laboratory settings. Your responsibilities will include assisting with experiments, conducting analysis, and ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory.
Duties:
- Assist with laboratory experiments and procedures under the supervision of senior staff
- Collect, prepare, and analyze samples in accordance with established protocols
- Maintain accurate records of experimental data and observations
- Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment and workspaces
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques
- Knowledge of animal physiology, research laboratory practices, or clinical laboratory operations is preferred
- Proficient in data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Familiarity with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines is a plus
Certifications:
BLS; Skills: Hearing screening, Height/Weight, Pulse Oximetry, Vision testing, Vital Signs - Blood Pressure, Respirations, Temperature, Pulse, Record History/Medications/Allergies, Nebulizer Treatments, Immunizations, Labeling of specimens, Venipuncture, Blood Glucose via Glucometer, Pharmacy calls for refills, Telephone Triage, Administration of TB Test, Follow up phone calls, Rooming Patients, Suture Removal
