Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the kitchen manager or head chef
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Assist with receiving and storing food supplies and ingredients
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food, and addressing customer needs
- Support the team by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Previous experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or similar food service environment preferred
- Basic cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Strong customer service skills to provide a positive dining experience for guests
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in food preparation and presentation
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
