Marufuku is seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team. If you are p
assionate about Japanese cuisine and love to experiment with authentic flavors, we would like to hear from you. As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that high-quality dishes are prepared and served to our customers. You will be working closely with our chefs and servers to ensure that every dish meets our standards of excellence. Interviews will be set throughout December and the position/training will begin in January.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are performed efficiently and effectively.
- Plan and develop menus, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies to ensure that the kitchen is fully stocked.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Train new kitchen staff members and provide ongoing training and support to ensure that they meet our standards of quality.
- Enforce food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring that all food is prepared and stored properly.
Requirements
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a Japanese restaurant is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of Japanese cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Commitment to a 3 week training program at an out of state corporate location.
