Kitchen Custodian - Full Time

Position Overview

The Kitchen Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen, including dishwashing, storage of dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment, and other cleaning.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Dish machine area to be cleaned periodically to avoid dishes stacking up.
• Monitor the cleanliness of dishes coming out of dish machine.
• All dishes, silverware, pots and pans to be stored in a neat and orderly fashion.
• All dishes, utensils, pots and pans are to be cleaned and put away at the end of each shift.
• Dish machine to be periodically cleaned to avoid deposits from building up.
• Sweep and mop all floors at the end of each shift.
• All trash cans to be emptied at the end of each shift.
• Dumpster area to be cleaned and organized on a regular basis.
• All cleaning materials to be monitored as to notify manager when reorder is necessary.
• Shining stainless counters and equipment on cooks line and in waiters aisle.
• Periodically clean kitchen mats.
• Clean outside patio, tables and chairs. Clean bar windows.

Requirements

• Up-to-date Clark County health card

In addition, the ideal candidate will be or have:

• Previous experience in a custodian or steward role

Physical Demands

Ability to perform moderate physical work, may be required to lift 100 lbs. occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly, performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, and grasping for up to five hours without sitting

Work Environment

This position operates in a restaurant setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.
