Kitchen Manager

Christopher's Tavern is looking for a Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Springfield, MA location. This position is responsible for managing the food production, preparation and presentation of Christopher's Tavern menu to meet the needs and expectations of our guests. Other responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, ordering of product to meet proper percentages & menu development. Great opportunity for a creative chef/manager to come on board with their new menu ideas as we are getting ready to add new elevated menu concepts. Quarterly bonuses available for meeting labor and food costs. Possible lease available for very qualifiedcandidate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food production and prep as assigned by the Chef
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen when prep is completed
• Ensure that all food and other items are stored in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Ensure that the kitchen is adequately supplied with all supplies necessary for the effective operation of the kitchen
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers while maintaining quality and product service
• Work with team members to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner and with minimal supervision
• Prepare food for service (e.g. cooking, garnishing, bussing)
• Answer in-service or customer service calls
• Record and report customer satisfaction and complaints
• Keep track of inventory levels and store supplies needed
• Assist in training new employees on food production and service requirements
• Work with management to ensure compliance with health & safety regulations

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager or Chef preferred but not required. Must be able to work nights and weekends.Must be able to work overtime when needed.Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must have basic computer skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $72,800.00 per year
