Job Description
This role is hybrid remote with 40% monthly in-office presence in Mount Prospect, Illinois. (2-3 days in office per week)
- Responsible for developing and implementing a sales strategy to achieve corporate sales, incremental line listings and competitive de-listings for assigned National Accounts and their respective Regional components.
- Manage and develop Key Account Managers or Rep Agencies in the Regions.
- Become a business leader with customers/merchants through productive working relationships at all levels, as well as with all internal customers.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maintain existing revenue and generate profitable growth with assigned National Accounts.
- Execute line reviews, promotions and campaigns to gain new product listings and achieve all sales targets.
- Manage, train, and develop Key Account Managers, Region and/or Rep Agencies to implement customer strategy and sell through activities.
- Act as the liaison between field sales, agencies, corporate and National Account team to optimize the deployment of resources to achieve national account goals.
- Sole responsibility for National Account and corporate relationship.
- Analyze customer-specific metrics and market trends to accurately forecast monthly product demand and financial revenue (orders) for assigned customers.
- Responsible to analyze the market trends and competitive environment to build overall customer strategy.
Qualifications
We are looking for a strategic, collaborative, energetic, highly professional team player with a track record for building key customer relationships and driving profitable growth in the Hardware Channel. The individual that will succeed in this role will have excellent communication skills, creativity and a data-driven approach to identify and capitalize on new opportunities. Bachelor's Degree required (graduate degree preferred) 5-7 years sales/marketing experience; national account management experience preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft office, specifically Microsoft Excel. Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen and a background check Travel (up to 30%) required
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or a minimum of 8 years of sales experience
- Ability to travel up to 30% or more for business demands; includes overnight travel
- Experienced in professional sales/product presentation via in person or virtual
- Exceptional customer service skills with ability to develop and sustain relationships.
- Experience in successful sales strategy formulation and execution.
- Ability to find solutions to customer’s problems using existing or new products to be developed.
- Ability to analyze data and sales statistics.
- Accountability and ownership; willingness to follow procedures and to improve them as well.
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced project management and organizational skills.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
