We are looking for the right candidate to continue the growth of our successful Shoreline Fruit Bulk/Ingredient business. While we enjoy a strong customer base with major food manufacturers, and distributors, we know plenty of opportunities exist for growth in these market segments. We just need the right person to continue this success!

The Key Account Manager position will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing and be primarily responsible for working with our Sales Team to support a strong base of Bulk/Ingredient business while pursuing new business opportunities. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to our sustained success by maintaining strong relationships and managing a book of existing customers while at the same time working with a great Team to develop new relationships and new sales channels for our locally gown and manufactured line of products.

The Pay - Unlike many other sales jobs that are heavy to commission and require you to build a book of business from the ground up before earning a living wage, this position comes with a generous starting salary and an existing book of business! The existing book of business will allow you to earn an estimated $25,000 in annual commissions right from the start, along with a fixed base salary ranging from $55,000 - $65,000 as you learn the business and get familiar with our products. Total base plus commissions will provide compensation between $80,000 - $90,000, depending on experience. We will also give you the opportunity and support to build your book of business and expand your earnings well beyond the initial base.

What you will be doing:

  • Managing a book of existing business and creatively seeking out, opening, and maintaining new Bulk/Ingredient frozen fruit, dried fruit, maraschino, concentrate and not from concentrate juice, and fruit paste business in multiple market channels.
  • Becoming a great story teller of our grower owned, vertically integrated group of businesses and the high standards of quality, honesty, and transparency that drive them.
  • Getting to know, value, and work with all divisions and departments that make this happen: growers, processors, production, packaging, quality, R&D, storage, finance, procurement, sales, marketing.
  • Working with our Sales Support Specialists to fulfill existing and prospective customer needs, monitor customer satisfaction, and provide solutions for the greatest customer experience and care.
  • Developing annual sales plans to achieve sales goals and provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts.
  • Adding your creativity into the marketing plan and related materials.
  • Analyzing trends and competitors to help identify market opportunities and make strategic decisions for future growth.
  • Managing your sales and promotions budget.
  • Becoming proficient with SAGE accounting software.
  • Keeping it all organized within the CRM system/database.
  • Being ethical and transparent always and still finding ways to win and grow.

What you will bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field is preferred.
  • Three years' experience in food or beverage sales to Bulk/Ingredient market segments preferred.
  • Experience working with distributors and brokers is preferred.
  • Strong competency using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid verbal, written, and presentation skills
