Bricco Excavating Co, LLC is seeking to hire an Accounting Manager to join our excavating team in the Oak Park, MI region. Salary may be negotiable. Hybrid - Position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other Duties may be assigned.
- Perform various accounting functions for excavating business unit
- Manage the monthly project-based revenue recognition analysis, accounting and reporting
- Bank Reconciliations, Cred Card reconciliations, Tracking Contracts and Commissions
- Prepare invoices for excavating business unit including cash receipts and application
- Prepare and process journal entries as a business unit level
- Employee benefit management (401K / Prevailing Wage Reporting)
- Maintain job cost work in progress (WIP) schedules weekly, including revenue and cost of sales recognition
- Revising job specific notes
- Assist business unit with maintaining internal controls and compliance
- Review inter-company reports to ensure balancing between companies
- Assist with accounts payable invoice review and project cost allocation
- Review and reconcile AR monthly, provide reporting and support for collections
- Review and analyze cost estimates
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Perform and supervise monthly close activities
- Assist in annual budget preparation
- Assist in monthly forecasting for the business unit
- Continued focus on standardization and process improvement in the business unit processes
- AR / AP coding and entry management
- Audit set up / document presentation
- Filing multiple sales tax returns
Qualifications / Skills
- Construction industry experience including project accounting
- Ability to prioritize workload and tasks
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Etc.)
- Proficient or experience in using sage 100 Contractor software
Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree. 5 to 7 years of preferred experience in financial reporting or accounting role.
