A week in the life of a Junior Systems Engineer: Developing, maintaining, and tracking design baselines through configuration control measures Developing engineering change proposals through the configuration management process Interpreting architecture drawings and network specifications and interfaces Conducting technical assessments and/or analysis of alternatives Identifying technical risks Developing engineering white papers to address technical deficiencies and gaps, and propose a viable technical solution Developing technical documentation (such as System Engineering Plan, Information Support Plan, Functional specification, System Performance Specification, System/Subsystem Design Description, etc.) Familiarity with test and evaluation strategies and test plans Maintaining effective communications through written reports and briefings -Understanding of implementation of value engineering and effective use of should cost in program/project life cycle management Life at AMERICAN SYSTEMS: Founded in 1975, AMERICAN SYSTEMS is one of the largest employee-owned companies in the United States.
