Duties and responsibilities:

- Assist in completing electrical designs to support firm-wide, multi-discipline projects by working with Project Managers (any discipline) and electrical teammates
- Assist project managers by providing design, calculations, design drawings, equipment specifications and reports for the following but not limited to:
- Medium and low voltage power distribution systems
- Lighting systems
- Lightning protection systems
- Grounding systems
- Communications systems
- Electrical equipment design (including switchboards and switchgear)
- Electrical room, kiosk and control panel design
- Selective power system coordination and arc flash studies
- Electrical power load and voltage drop studies
- Above ground and underground cabling, fiber, conduit, or cable tray
- Assist with evaluation of project scopes
- Knowledge of power system analysis software for coordination and arc flash studies would be an asset
- Assist in company wide Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Master’s degree, preferred
- Entry to 4 years of related experience including:
- Medium/low voltage power distribution systems
- Grounding systems
- Lighting systems
- Communications systems
- Electrical equipment design (including switchboards and switchgear)
- Electrical power load and voltage drop studies
- Above ground and underground cabling, fiber, conduit, or cable tray
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred
- Knowledge of power system analysis software such as ETAP or EasyPower and AGI32 for coordination and arc flash studies plus lighting design would be an asset
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post-offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Base Salary Range:
$74,000 to $105,000 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualifications in job description.
Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in California.
Working Conditions:
Majority of work is office-based. Some site visits may be required which may necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment. Site visits may also include working around live electrical equipment and systems. This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
