About the Team:

Chemical Market Analytics by OPIS, a Dow Jones company, enables stakeholders in the global chemical industry to improve operational efficiency with deep insights, future outlooks, price discovery and consultation from a celebrated team of subject matter experts. We offer short- and long-term market coverage for more than 200 core building-block chemicals with a full suite of advisory services and top-tier events held around the globe. The worldwide chemical industry looks to Chemical Market Analytics to guide decisions and help manage risk across the entire value chain.

About the Role:

You will oversee and manage the critical path for events with a strong emphasis on strategic theme and program development, while building strong relationships with key stakeholders and industry peers. You will work in direct collaboration with event operations. Domestic and international travel - 25% - is required. You will report directly to the Event Production Lead.

You Will:

  • Assist in development and implementation of event strategy for events concerning theme, pricing, budget, program, and event timeline
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Sponsor Relations, and key stakeholders to elevate the overall level of events and coordinate content strategy and execution
  • Work directly with marketing on email campaigns and determine relevant topics, speakers, and announcements to be promoted via email campaigns
  • Adhere and execute the event timeline including all deadlines related to program development, pricing deadlines, and speaker management
  • Develop event program with input from key stakeholders while building relationships with important market players
  • Direct collaboration and communication with event operations throughout the entire event timeline to ensure the event stays on time and within budget
  • Track and maintain regular financial reporting along with year-over-year progress of the event
  • Create and maintain event agenda on web platforms
  • Advise/communicate to operations AV/IT requirements needed for speakers; ensure all deliverables are received and provided onsite
  • Serve as point of contact for all speakers; create and deploy speaker communications
  • Create and maintain a run of show

You Have:

  • At least 3-5 years' corporate event programming experience (internal or external) for midsize to large events
  • Experience using MS Office, Google applications, WordPress and event management tools and platforms (i.e. Cvent Flex, Attendee Hub, On Arrival, and Aventri)
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining order of priorities
  • Collaborated effectively with all levels of stakeholder across a company
  • Flexibility to invest longer hours during peak event season
