YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a Junior Corporate Counsel (1-4 years of experience) to help us quadruple our growth in the next 5 years. As a member of Legal, you will be part of an innovative and business-driven group of in-house lawyers. You will work directly with executive management and outside counsel to drive strategic initiatives and support the company’s business goals. Your day-today will involve handling all legal aspects of real estate, M&A, corporate governance, commercial contracts, finance, litigation, employment, IP and privacy. Due to your exposure to executive management, this is a 4-day in-person position on our campus in Worcester, MA.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

· Draft, negotiate and manage a wide range of transactions, including NDAs, commercial contracts, real estate contracts, leases etc.

· Play a key role in our M&A transaction, and manage corporate governance, including entity formation/dissolution, resolutions, minute books, etc.

· Help develop and build workflows, templates, processes, and internal and external policies in employment, compliance and privacy/cybersecurity issues, among others

· Assist with litigation and other legal matters, as needed.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

· J.D. from an accredited law school and active member of Massachusetts Bar or be able to quickly becoming a member of the Massachusetts Bar.

· 1-4 years of experience of commercial real estate (particularly real estate M&A) AND/OR M&A transactions at a law firm or in-house. Any experience with permits, title, zoning policies, employment or compliance works is a plus.

· Must be willing to learn new practice areas and adapt to new challenges. You will become a generalist in a lean in-house environment of a rapidly growing/evolving organization.

· Practical and business-minded and able to present business partners with pragmatic advice in non-legal terms.

· Be a team player who can perform assigned tasks with a great level of independence and ownership.

· Experience working in a cross-discipline, cross-department environment

SALARY RANGE, AND BENEFITS

· Salary range is $100,000 to $120,000, depending on the level of experience
