Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking highly motivated team players with 1+ years of public accounting experience, preferably with an emphasis on general accounting. Income tax preparation experience is a plus. As a valued team member, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with partners on challenging assignments in a professional and collegial office environment.
The perfect candidate will enjoy learning about different industries, competitive markets, and specialized practice areas, such as trust, bankruptcy, business operations management, and litigation support. A foundational knowledge of general accounting is required for success. Essential functions of this position include:
- Building fiduciary accountings for estates and trusts in compliance with trust instruments, supervisory court guidelines, and/or relevant California statutes.
- Performing asset inventories, analysis and reconciliation of receipts and disbursements, and scheduling of income/losses relevant to the sale of assets.
- Forensic accounting and asset reconstruction.
- Analysis of financial data and preparation of reports in conjunction with forensic accounting, bankruptcy, and litigation support work.
- Preparation of trust and probate accounting reports.
- BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
- 1+ years’ accounting experience, preferably with a public accounting firm.
- Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
- Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Strong work ethic with ability to comprehend complex accounting issues, juggle multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excel proficient, QuickBooks knowledge a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
