Junior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Junior Accountant to join our dynamic home services company. The Junior Accountant is responsible for assisting the finance department in creating and analyzing financial reports and ensuring legal compliance by following up to date guidelines for financial reporting. They are responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, assisting with audits, performing account reconciliations, and financial analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
• Assists with internal and external audits.
• Performs monthly bank and cash reconciliations.
• Reconciles credit card transactions ensuring all transactions are properly posted.
• Provides accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information as requested.
• Identifies areas for improvement and implements improvements to processes.
• Maintains metrics to identify process efficiencies and drive overall effectiveness.
• Assists with month-end closings.’
• Provide support and back-up to Accounts Payable team as needed.
• Process cash deposits.
• Assists with various ad hoc projects and provide support to other members of the accounting team.

Requirements:

• Understanding of general accepted accounting principles.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
