Job Summary
Maple Medical Management and its affiliated companies include a rapidly growing medical practice with 7 clinics across the Atlanta area, 2 assisted living / senior care communities in Georgia, as well as real estate and other business ventures, with all administration run from the office in Duluth, GA,. We are seeking a Junior Bookkeeper to assist our Financial Controller in managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate records, as well as assist in wide variety of financial, tax, and business administration items. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices, excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
● Assist in the day-to-day management of financial transactions.
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions in accordance with established procedures and policies.
● Prepare and process deposits, invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
● Reconcile bank statements and company ledgers to ensure accuracy of financial data
● Reconcile intercompany transactions and prepare cost allocations
● Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
● Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
● Provide support to senior accounting staff as needed.
● Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting regulations and standards.
● Assist with regulatory compliance including annual business license filings, tax filings, etc.
● Other job duties that may arise in the role of Junior Accountant
Qualification, Experience, and Skills:
● Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
● Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping role
● Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
● Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
● Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
● Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
● Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Physical Job Demands and Requirements:
· Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer.
· Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
· Occasional lifting and carrying of files, boxes, or other materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
· Visual acuity to review and analyze financial documents and reports.
· Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients in person, over the phone, and via email.
· Flexibility to occasionally work extended hours during peak periods or to meet deadlines.
· Adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines within the office environment.
