SUMMARY
The Junior Accountant will perform a variety of tasks to assist the accounting department. Duties may include, but are not limited to, account reconciliations, preparing and posting journal entries, cash receipts, managing credit card expense reports, payment vouchers, payments research, accounting support, filing.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
- 1-2 years of general accounting experience Proficient in Excel and Word
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal skills
- Self-starter/pro-active, and a team player with the ability to meet goals and deadlines
- Detail oriented and must work effectively and efficiently under time pressure
- Must have integrity and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Candidate must have the ability to work with interruptions, strict deadlines, and minimal supervision
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Account reconciliations, including but not limited to: fixed assets, accounts receivables, accounts payables, bank accounts, fund contributions •
- Prepare and reconcile system uploads into General Ledger
- Cash receipts entries, check deposits
- Be responsible for complete submissions of monthly credit card expense reports
- Ensure supporting documentation for invoice payments are complete prior to payment processing
- Credit card fee allocation journal entries, manage credit card chargebacks •
- Assist in accounts payables cycle, act as back-up to Payroll & A/P Accounting Specialist
- Unclaimed property communications and reporting
- Responsible for any tasks necessary to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in maintaining storage and organization of records.
- Other duties and administrative tasks or projects as assigned.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.50 per hour
