The Shore and Expeditionary Integration Program Office (PMW 790) is acquiring support services in the areas of production Systems Engineering, logistics, installation management, and integration/planning/requirements services for the architecture, integration, acquisition, and support of multiple shore and expeditionary Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) programs. PMW 790's mission is to acquire, integrate, deliver, and support interoperable shore-based C4I capabilities for the warfighter. PMW 790’s vision is to be the preeminent provider of integrated shore-based transformational Network Centric Warfare capabilities to the warfighter by providing assured connectivity between tactical forces and higher commands. The overarching goal is to ensure C4I systems programmed for installation on Navy ships have matching shore facilities of appropriate capacity to support Fleet deployments worldwide. Our goal is to migrate the shore sites and their terrestrial interconnections into a coherent, scalable, network-centric communications and multiplexing fabric designed to optimize functionality by effecting improvements that both satisfy current shortfalls and, wherever possible, provide the building blocks for future C4I architecture.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Jr. Systems Engineer prepares, updates, and reviews AutoCAD drawings for Navy shore installation projects, such as Installation Requirements Drawings (IRD), Installation Design Plans (IDP) and As-Built drawings on the PMW 790 Shore and Expeditionary Integration Program Office Planning and Logistics Support Services contract. The ideal candidate has an understanding of the NAVWAR IRD Standard and the Shore Installation Process Handbook as they apply to the development of IRDs and IDPs, as well as experience performing internal and enterprise reviews of IRD, IDP and As-Built shore installation AutoCAD drawings prior to customer submission for accuracy and consistency throughout the drawing package. This position is located in San Diego, CA.
- Support Systems Engineers and AutoCAD specialists with Installation Requirements Drawings (IRD), Installation Design Plans (IDP), and As-Built drawings.
- Review IRDs, IDPs, and As-Builts to ensure compliance with applicable standards (SIPH and IRD), and to ensure hardware installations are documented in detail and provide necessary guidance for a successful installation.
- Conduct surveys of Navy shore platforms in support of drawing development efforts.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of shore installation issues relating to IRDs, IDPs, and As Built Drawings and their compliance with the IRD Standard and the Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH). Be responsible to various data calls to provide requested information, including research, gathering, sorting and presentation.
- Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts and Project Engineers and provide reporting to Task Leads.
- Utilize established Standards, company templates and SOPs.
- Bid and proposal support if requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- HS Diploma required.
- Five (5) years of experience providing Systems Engineering and/or AutoCAD support.
- Demonstrated knowledge of AutoCAD attributes, AutoCAD templates, and compliance with NAVWAR standards.
- Functional knowledge and completed course of instruction for AutoCAD software and familiar with traditional drafting methods.
- Experience in creating AutoCAD drawings such as network interconnectivity diagrams, floor plans, elevations, building plans, landscapes, maps, electrical, electronic, and mechanical details.
- Experience updating existing AutoCAD drawing "red lines" to current state.
- U.S. Navy and/or NAVWAR Command Control Computer Communications and Intelligence (C4I) background related to shore installation upgrades.
- Requires organization skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas visually.
- Ability to apply basic math skills to compute scaling and formulas.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret technical documents.
- Perform job duties under deadlines/scheduling commitments.
- Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

- Travel Required ~20% travel required.

Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in engineering or a related technical field with AutoCAD curriculum is desired.
- Completion of a certificate program with a focus on drafting is desired.
- Network Installation Technician experience.
- Military training and background in Advanced Electronics fields.
- Experience with Naval Information Warfare Command (NAVWAR) SYSCOM PEO Integrated Data Environment and Repository (SPIDER).
- Familiarity with Shore Installation Process Handbook and NAVWAR IRD Standard, and FRCB process.
- Familiarity with networking diagrams, concepts, and components.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Dynamic Blocks and Attributes.
INDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $70,000. – $80,000.
