Project Engineer

Provide engineering support to fuel oil projects at the direction of the Operations Coordinator and the business owner. Engineering support includes these tasks:

· Assist in design of fuel systems, including AutoCAD drawings and material specifications.

· Create submittals, which include AutoCAD drawings and equipment cutsheets.

· Write a sequence of operation.

· Coordinate BIM modeling with the BIM detailer.

· With approved submittals, write Purchase Order Requests.

· Meet with the field installers and technicians every afternoon when they return to the office to seek their feedback and discuss their progress and any problems.

· Write and track RFI’s.

· Create O and M manuals.

· Provide owner training, on-site, within the Bay Area.

· Provide application engineering for any number of products, to include Veeder Root monitoring consoles, Franklin Fueling monitoring consoles and our own PLC panels.

· Coordinate and review SOO and programming of all monitoring consoles and PLC systems with our programmer. Coordinate internal test plan with programmer.

· Create and edit AutoCAD drawings for PLC controls.

· Apply for permits.

Requirements (must haves):

· Minimum 2 years experience in the Construction Industry.

· Valid Driver’s License

· 4 year college degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology

· Working ability in AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

· Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

· Ability to read both architectural, mechanical, electrical and controls drawings.

Skills/Traits that would be helpful:

· Franklin or Veeder Root certification.

· ICC certification as either Installer, Technician or Designated Underground Storage Tank Operator.

· Familiarity with UL 2085, UL 142 and other tank technologies.

Location: Lathrop is a nice reverse commute. You can easily reach it from the Bay Area but if you prefer the Central Valley’s lower cost of living, our location works.
