Job description

The mission of J.P. Morgan Wealth Management's (JPMWM) Investments & Advice (I&A) team is to deepen relationships with Field Leadership and Financial Advisors, enhancing and maintaining our products, while providing them with best in industry platforms, solutions and advice. The team engages and supports Advisors to provide product education and guidance, connecting the value proposition of our platforms with the short and long term goal of our clients.

The I&A team in New York is seeking a highly motivated, coachable and talented Associate to support JPMA's Capital Markets and brokerage platform. The team works with senior leaders and partners with various stakeholders across the firm to develop, deliver, and market capital market solutions to our advisors & clients. The team partners with people across JPMWM, Corporate & Investment Bank, Consumer Bank and Asset & Wealth Management. The Capital Markets and brokerage team focuses on bringing the institutional capabilities of the firm to clients with complex needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as an entrepreneur- able to take a conceptual business challenge from a hypothesis to a practical brokerage solution
  • Structural analyses on critical initiatives such as corporate access and growth of the institutional segment
  • Liaise and develop relationships with all key stakeholders including business users, technology, operations, legal, compliance, risk, marketing and training
  • Handle key regulatory changes, projects and internal audits
  • Coordinate updates for senior management communication
  • Function as an escalation point to keep all parties aware of overall project impact
  • Ongoing support of advisors, client associates & clients inquiries related to the brokerage aspect of I&A
  • Obtain significant senior leadership exposure and exposure to broader platform to understand how we deliver the firm and its resources to our clients to help drive the business forward

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of financial industry experience; preferably in Wealth Management, private banking, or brokerage
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and comfortable engaging all levels of firm management
  • Exceptional project management and complex problem-solving skills
  • Dynamic team player and self-starter with strong decision-making capabilities
  • Challenges status quo and brings new ideas that solve business needs with a risk management approach
  • Ability to multi-task, manage priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree required

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Series 7 & Series 66 a plus; with willingness to study and pass exams within 12 months of start
  • MBA or CFA is preferred but not required
