We are looking for a collaborative ITS / Traffic Engineer to join our Florida & Puerto Rico group of transportation planners, traffic / ITS engineers and operations specialists with a wide variety of talent and experience. As our newest team member, you'll play a supporting role in the development of plans, specifications and estimates for intelligent transportation systems, traffic signal design, traffic studies and other Traffic Engineering work tasks. Joining our team, you'll have the chance to apply your experience to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects and utilize your ITS and traffic expertise to create innovative solutions.
This position will be located in Tallahassee, Florida.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Engineer in Training (EIT) License in the State of Florida, or the ability to obtain a license within 6 months
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience in traffic operational analysis including traffic signal warrants, traffic signal and pedestrian crossing control system analysis, and design; and traffic signing and pavement marking analysis and design, ITS Analysis and Design
- Strong technical writing and oral communication skills
- Valid driver's license and able to travel for site visits
- Must be resourceful, curious, and self-directed
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in the design of ITS system construction plans for ITS device placement and communications on Florida arterial, interstate, and limited access corridors
- Experience in FDOT design-bid-build projects and design-build projects
- The right balance of leadership, technical skills, and experience serving internal and external clients
- Knowledge and experience using CADD/Microstation
- Design experience with departments of transportation, planning or transit agencies
