Job Description
School Sisters of St. Francis, a non-profit religious organization is looking for a full-time IT Technician to work 80 hours per pay period. Typical workdays are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Some weekend hours or on-call when necessary.
Pay starting at $23.00/hour based on experience. Position is benefit eligible.
Working closely with the Lead Tech and Manager, you will be responsible for customer support of computer hardware and software for our sisters and business offices. The ability to communicate clearly and respectfully is a must. This position will involve working with day to day questions regarding the use of Microsoft Office Products, setup of IOS and Android cell phones and troubleshooting other technical issues. In addition to these tasks, you will have the opportunity to learn other aspects of the IT Department.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Windows OS
- Working knowledge of MS Office with the ability to assist others.
- Working knowledge of mobile devices
- Good verbal and written communication skills a must
- Ability to teach with respect
- Basic PC troubleshooting
- Basic printer troubleshooting
- Degree in Computer Sciences or related information technology field or equivalent work experience
- Network, Active Directory and PC certifications are a plus
- Some weekend or on-call hours when necessary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for developing, coordinating and maintaining the SSSF desktop computer systems in support of the overall mission of SSSF as carried forward through the International, Provincial, and Campus Offices.
2. Manages technical support operations for all users of telecommunications, networked or standalone computer systems.
3. Utilizes advanced systems analysis techniques in the resolution of computer software/hardware issues and problems.
4. Develops and maintains a software/patch deployment plan for all desktop systems.
5. Develops and implements migration strategy for desktop operating systems and related office software.
6. Responsible for developing, maintaining and executing on-going training sessions for SSSF Employees or sisters.
7. Responsible for the proper installation and maintenance of all software loaded onto the desktop computers, including OS and software updates.
8. Develops and maintains desktop software/hardware documentation.
9. Acts as the ITS Liaison to the SSSF community/departments in such areas as: consulting with users to determine hardware and software to meet needs/specifications, troubleshooting hardware, software and system problems, and conducting appropriate on-campus training related to information technology systems.
10. Assists ITS Manager in evaluating standards for system hardware, operations and software compatibility.
11. Ensures confidentiality and reliability of SSSF data, proprietary information, and intellectual property.
12. Uses active directory to maintain user Security.
13. Maintains department calendar and coordinates scheduled equipment.
14. Maintains asset database.
15. Performs Data backup tasks.
16. Assists in the recording of Chapel events using a TriCaster and PTZ cameras.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.
