IT Technician | Houston, TX
Job Summary:
The IT Technician is responsible for a variety of IT customer support services essential to the effective performance of systems supporting PVE, LLC information systems. Works directly with other IT technical staff and IT Director on assigned projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical support services for software and hardware trouble shooting, installation, removals, moves, upgrades, providing systems advice and training in response to internal customer support requests.
- Assists in the administration of the IT Ticket system by reviewing, prioritizing, processing, and closing services request tickets for PC, printers, desk phones, phone system, cell phones and A/V equipment in a timely manner.
- Assists with account administration including creation, configuration and audit of network and system specific accounts.
- Assists with end-user training for general devices, network, business systems and PC software.
- Monitors and reports service issue trends and patterns to the IT Director and recommends process improvements.
- Assists with root-cause analysis for trending IT client issues.
- Performs hardware setup and maintenance for users including new hire setups.
- Performs IT project specific tasks as requested by the IT Manager.
- Performs administrative duties as needed.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in a technical support position providing end-user device and account support and utilizing specific customer service processes and ticketing system.
- Proficiency with MS Office projects.
- Working knowledge of PC & Server operating systems.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365 Admin Center.
- Working knowledge of computer hardware, accessories, imaging software, desktop and server operating systems and basic ticketing systems.
- Strong analytical, documentation, problem-solving, interpersonal, listening, and questioning skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
