About the Role
We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as an IT Technical Writer. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in documenting our IT solutions and services, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and comprehensiveness in all technical documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and create technical documentation including user manuals, system documentation, and online help resources.
- Translate technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ensure consistency and adherence to documentation standards and guidelines.
- Update and maintain existing documentation to reflect changes in technology and business processes.
- Work closely with development teams to understand product features and functionality.
- Participate in peer reviews to ensure the quality of documentation deliverables.
- Continuously improve documentation processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in technical writing, preferably in the IT industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize complex information.
- Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Confluence.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and IT infrastructure concepts.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of markup languages such as Markdown or reStructuredText.
- Understanding of Agile development practices.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools for creating illustrations and diagrams.
Salary Range: $50,000 to $65,000 per year
