Position: IT Systems Administrator
Location: Lansing. Must be open to traveling to Springfield OH
Salary: $25-30/hour
Job Scope: Develop and maintain functional Information Technology System to support all operational functions including assisting department managers in various ways, which will allow department support and improvement to job functions and processes for over 50 users in two locations.
Essential Functions – This job is evolving to maintain systems at two locations: Lansing MI and Springfield OH
• Support all end users in all areas of technology including hardware, software, acquisition, and troubleshooting
• Maintain company ERP Systems (SAGE MAS 90 and JOB BOSS)
• Support MS365 users
• Microsoft OS including Server 2003, Server 2012, Windows 7, 10, 11
• Ensure Internal TCP/IP Network communications
• Maintain company application and data servers, preventative maintenance, updates, acquisition
• Maintain company backups including data servers, end users, maintain off-site copies
• Support and install communication systems including onsite IP system and mobile user’s devices
• Maintain all company printers, supplies, acquisitions
• Maintain and troubleshoot company computer networks, cabling, routers, switches
• Maintain company web hosting service and website
• Negotiate and approve service and maintenance contracts, software, hardware, communications
• Perform online purchases for supplies including shop maintenance and machine maintenance
• Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems and department.
• Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
• Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure
• Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs
• Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information - Facilitates IT security audits or investigations. Reviews logs for servers, data backups, and security devices.
• Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
• Commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. All employees are responsible for the quality of the product, process or service they provide and to report any nonconformity to team leader for review.

• Complete tasks assigned as needed by the company or customer requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o Microsoft server Active Directory Administration o DNS, DHCP IP networking and routing o MS365 experience o SAGE 100 or SAGE MAS90 Crystal Reports o A+ Certification, Microsoft Certification o Synology Firewall, NAS o Operate the following office Equipment:
▪ P/C and Printer
▪ Application software: windows, Microsoft Office – EXCEL and WORD
▪ MAS90 business system software
▪ Photocopier
▪ Fax Machine
▪ Data scanner o Can use judgment and initiative in selecting the most effective work methods / tools to determine a proper course of action to achieve the best possible result. Answers to problems may not always be readily available or apparent. Requiring searching out examples or historical practices.
o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; business English and grammar sufficient to write and edit business material.
o Computer operation requires in-depth understanding of technical capabilities and practical methodologies including projects that involve the application of advanced program functions.
Education and Experience:
• Associate’s degree in computer science required. Additional degrees, certifications a plus.
• Experience managing an IT department.
Personal Protective Equipment
o Safety glasses required on shop floor
Work Environment:
o Work performed in a combination of an office and shop floor setting. o Travel required for Cameron Tool Corporation, Lansing MI and Tool Tech in Springfield OH.
