As an IT administrator on our IT team, you will work closely with Security, HR and Clinical teams, and a wide range of internal IT customers across the US, ensuring their needs are met quickly and cost-effectively. As Virta operates in a highly regulated environment, you'll be working to enforce, maintain, and improve our zero-trust, cloud-first IT infrastructure; and because Virta is distributed, you'll be helping us create, deploy, and improve effective IT processes to ensure our end users get consistently high levels of support.
Responsibilities

  • Perform Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support, and help the IT team create effective self-serve processes to improve time to resolution and end-user satisfaction
  • Contribute to, and help improve, our key IT processes:
    • End-user support (equipment, training, troubleshooting, conferencing, etc)
    • Software integrations (SSO, application assignments, etc)
    • User management (GSuite, Okta, Jamf, etc)
    • Employee on-boarding and off-boarding
    • A/V support for meetings in the office
  • Own laptop configuration, shipping and receiving, and warranty repairs
  • Create, maintain, test, and deploy MDM policies for our fleet
90 Day Plan
Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:
  • Become an essential point of contact for Virta IT:
    • Help desk support
    • MDM, hardware and software deployment
    • A/V support for meetings in the office
    • Inventory management and logistics (purchasing, repairs, spares, etc)
  • Perform, manage, and improve all on-boarding and off-boarding processes
  • Help implement processes and tooling for IT efficiency, effectiveness, and end-user training
Must-Haves
  • 4 years minimum experience in IT Systems Administration in the SaaS space
  • Attention to detail, self-starter, flexibility to changes in a rapidly growing startup
  • Strong automation background and experience preferred
  • Knowledgeable about Apple product ecosystem (Apple certs is a plus)
  • Hands-on technical experience with Mac/Apple software and hardware, including testing, managing, and deploying new hardware, apps, and OS updates an upgrades
  • Experience with identifying and troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail and a supportive and empathetic approach to end-user support
  • Jamf MDM or similar Apple centric MDM
Nice to have:
  • Logistics and inventory management experience (purchasing, shipping, receiving, inventory management)
  • Familiar with navigating ticketing systems such as Zendesk, Jira, Freshdesk
  • Experience supporting G Suite (Google Workspace)
  • Experience managing remote fleets > 300 devices / 200+ employees
Bonus:
  • Experience in a regulated environment (e.g. healthcare, finance, government, etc)

As part of your duties at Virta, you may come in contact with sensitive patient information that is governed by HIPAA. Throughout your career at Virta, you will be expected to follow Virta's security and privacy procedures to ensure our patients' information remains strictly confidential. Security and privacy training will be provided.
Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation range is $74,132-$85,210 per year. Information about Virta's benefits is on our careers page at: https://www.virtahealth.com/careers.
